Welcome to Jeff Michael Horsemanship

 My Horsemanship began by riding a thousand miles on a beautiful Paint Chincoteague Pony that I had as a child. Throughout my life I’ve loved horses and developed a passion for training them in my adulthood. I have been training horses professionally for over 15 years. My Horsemanship has been developed through working with over a thousand horses and many talented people in the horse industry. My training is based on teaching Collection, Flexion and Disengagement to the horse and rider.  I also teach how to individually control the five body parts of the horse, and how to become Consistent with Correction. Through this I have created soft and mentally sound Horses in many different disciplines. I believe developing the basics of a dressage horse and it can prepare a horse for any future discipline. My goal is always to develop a soft and supple horse, that is confident and sound of mind. I enjoy sharing what I have learned with others through simple techniques based in easy to learn maneuvers, that develop the confidence of the rider and the horse.
